Cybershield has the ability to robotically dispense Form-In-Place Conductive Gaskets at low cost, with exceptional placement and bead profile accuracy. Form-in-Place conductive gaskets offer EMI RFI shielding, grounding and environmental seal onto metal or plastic substrates. Gaskets can be dispensed onto any conductive painted, plated or metallic surface of an electronics enclosure to protect it internally and externally from radiated interference and environmental elements. Typical applications include wireless handsets, PDA’s, PC cards, telecom base stations, satellite radios, navigation systems and test equipment.

The dispensed conductive gasket material options offered by Cybershield are soft and highly compressible with low Shore A hardness and compression set characteristics. This provides excellent shielding where a limited compression force is available or where mating areas have a very low rigidity, such as thin wall plastic injection molding.

The use of form-in-place dispensed conductive gasket provides an opportunity to develop a tighter package design. For small and narrow flanges, gaskets can be applied as narrow as 0.016" (0.4 mm). This allows for more critical packaging space for PCB traces and board component placement for a smaller overall package design.

Aluminum, steel or magnesium housings, plated plastic parts, and conductive painted plastic parts are popular choices. Our gasketing systems have high volume capabilities as well as excellent process control. Cybershield has extensive dispensing capacity that can produce conductive gaskets with heights of 0.016-0.080” (0.4-2.0 mm) on part size up to 2 feet x 2 feet x 6 inches.

Cybershield also provides a wide variety of value-added services which include:

  • Secondary operations
  • Automated assembly
  • Full project turnkey responsibility where we will take your specification and will have all the components tooled and produced. Let one of our customer focused technology teams take ownership of your next program from conception through production.
